Fleet Review
We begin by performing a comprehensive review of your fleet. Our reviewing process is two fold: First, we perform a thorough review of your equipment data and master files for the fleet, plus we examine your equipment cost accounting system, equipment cost history and rate setting method. Second, we perform a comprehensive field inspection of your fleet.
Once we have collected this information and developed a thorough understanding of your fleet and equipment accounting methods, we meet with you and present a summary report of our findings. In that report we provide an expert analysis regarding immediate and long-term enhancements to improve the efficiency and lower the ownership and operating costs of your fleet.
Field Observation
An effective fleet management strategy should not rely solely on informational reports. Observing the operation of the machines, inspecting each unit for unusual wear patterns, insuring proper servicing and maintenance has been performed – these are vital pieces of information that a fleet manager must know to successfully manage the fleet. We will become another set of eyes to observe and inspect the machines on your behalf. As we look, we will also record our findings and send you a weekly summary. Should we see an acute situation that warrants the immediate shut-down of a machine, we will contact you immediately with our recommendation.
Routine Reporting
C.C. Mangum Consulting will provide you several important reports to enable you to have up-to-date, easily accessible information about the location, utilization and cost of the different machines in your fleet. Additionally, we will track the use of each machine and alert you when a scheduled preventive maintenance needs to be performed. These reports require access to fleet information entered and stored in your computer system and access to information tracked and kept by your fleet service personnel.
Regular Meetings
As helpful as field observations and information reports are, without interpretation of the data, they may be of little use. C.C. Mangum Consulting will routinely meet with you, not more often than monthly but not less frequently that quarterly, to review the information we have compiled and presented, providing experienced interpretation for your maximum benefit.
